The Watchmakers are a Manchester rock band, that are colourfully psychedelic. There music is reminiscent of the more substantial and meaningful 60s psychedelia. They certainly sound that they have plenty of confidence, which sends me thinking back to early Kasabian. It is really great to listen to a band with a bit of self -belief.
There are times that Richard Maitland vocals are fantastically similar to John Lydon’s in (This is not a) Love Song. This is true in the featured song Waves, which is probably why I like this song so much. Or it could be angular soaring guitar sounds with pounding relentless drumming
