Teenage Shoegazer recommends : Hyla

1496615_644086842367663_6139431789640659046_nFusing dream pop, garage and shoegaze;  in a way that sounds more Loop than Slowdive.  They cite their sonic influences as Ride and Spiritualized and they love songwriters like the Byrds, Velvet Underground and Richard Ashcroft.   Hyla is the Perth combo who have built up a strong following in their native Australia and are now ready to unleash their sound globally.  Hyla comprise of long time friends Alex Board (vocals/guitar) and Rob Stephens (bass), teamed up with guitarist Michael Antonas and drummer Ethan Darnell.  They are currently working on their debut album, expected release early 2015.

Lovely huge chunks of fuzzed out guitars and washed out vocals, these slabs of moody sonic paranoia find there way into your memory.
