Baby Honey – Full

11078056_667591656679126_2558919400809876980_nBaby Honey is a shoegaze band from Perth, Australia.  They have released a couple of tracks online and are planning an EP for later in the year.  They are hugely influenced by early My Bloody Valentine, which in my mind is a good thing.  Loveless may get all the press but when I saw MBV at Hammersmith Apollo, Nothing Much to Lose was a stand out moment.  In their song Full, the cathartic lo-fi rough guitars sweep you away.  The vocals are not placed in the forefront and with the boy/girl interplay with the vocals it has a very Pastels feel about it.

After reading their recent interview in The Blog that Celebrates Itself these guys don’t even have a drummer.  If there is any Colm Ó Cíosóig like drummers who can do the falling down the stairs crescendo, I’m sure Baby Honey would like to know.
